Sorry, I think that there is a misunderstanding... you cannot use the Delete key to delete nodes in the Node Editor, you need to right-click on the node and chose Edit/Delete:

Because of lack a DEL key it's not working. I've added a support for BACKSPACE key. Will be available with the next builds.
