Soo bad. I have a huge problem in 10.14 and perhaps 10.13 ( I don't remember if I ever used 10.13 but in my test I have same problem in 10.13 ) So I imagine that in 10.12 it is ok.
I have noise in reflection and refraction. See pict, this is DENOISED BEAUTY, in 10.14 there is an ugly noise especially in dark areas.
Any idea ? Something wrong from my side ?

Hi HHbomb,
I don't know if this is your case, but keep in mind Octane Light and Octane Light Vectron used together could cause noise unless you adjust sampling rate.
In architectural renderings you could try using fake glass material.

Hi, Pardide. Vectron Lights are not so nice finally... Is Octane daylight an Octane Light or an Octane Light vectron ?

I used in older version fake glass, but no more : it tend to be whiter, and are lightened by light.

( specular left - your orbx material right )

Hey guys, can you adjust the field size a bit. A lot of the content is cut off so you can't see the entered values very good.

Hi HHbomb,
you would adjust the falloff in opacity slot.

BUG since several versions now:

When I have a scene with Octane_Light in and isolate view the render just repeats sample 0 until I unhide the light.
Like if you have a object and the light. You isolate the object and light gets hidden it repeats the samples from 0 over and over again until I also unhide the light too.

I have a scene which crashes 3dsmax straight to desktop if I set rendering resolution over 29.000px. In older versions I was able to even pull the resolution up to 45.000px with the same scene.

Also, sometimes the denoiser gives wired results like a tinting the whole image in bright green, red and purple. It messed up my whole overnight rendering. :(

29.000 px ?

We are using Topaz Gigapixel AI to enlarge images, instead of rendering with large sizes we use 60% of the final size

It is special case. I need 155.000px for the final. So I use Gigapixel too.

But the error is an error. Especially when it used to work in old version. So I repot it.

Hi mbetke,
When you say "older version" which one you mean?
Does denoiser usually fail or doing high-resolution render?
