Ciao Stefano,
please check that there is not some dust blocking the correct airflow, I have saved a couple of GPUs in this way.
ciao Beppe

I've also had some eGPU fans start to die, without being super obvious. At least with the eGPUs we've got, there's no user accessible monitoring of fan speed, or any kind of reporting/error system, so when they start to die, you may not know until things start to overheat and shut down. If I see/hear them hesitate on startup, or seem to take a while to get up to speed, I replace them proactively. You can usually swap them in five minutes, if you've got right replacement part.

I have a similar mac and im having the same issue with two GTX1080 ti's . Computer turning off after a render is complete , thanks to your post i think its the denoising as well. When i restart my mac, (have to replug in power cable first btw or else no response from mac) and open c4d, the Octane settings are changed and the denoising buttons are enable on both cards. It was not setup like that before the render . So its adjusting octane settings during png render all on its own. Let me know if unplugging one card help or what helped out ..
thanks

Hi,
you need more power for AI Denoiser, than usual render, so you need a bigger external PSU for powering your GPUs.
