Hey folks!

This looks pretty useful:

(Aimed at Houdini users - but the set-up principles are universal).

Thank you for this, I'm having some great results with testing.

Tried it aswell, results are okisch, but have downsides in my opinion. I allways have problems setting up the reflections on specular materials. For example following image uses a shader based on the video above. If i use an HDRI with nice enviroment lighting it looks quite good, but if i use a pretty harsch direct light (still path tracing kernal) the fresnel like shader effect becomes really visible in the shadow regions.

(There is just a single light source to the left of her and no other objets that could reflect light on the right side of her face)

The issue seems to inheriate from the indirect reflections channel.

Any tips on how to approach/fix this issue?

Related to this issue i get artefacts on a little more complex lighting setups as well. There are artefacts on the eye lids, on the bottom of her right nostril and the issue with the fresnel-like effect too,

Other than that issue i think it looks quite well

Can someone show me how the nodes should be set up on DAZ? I have have been experimenting but feel completely lost; Can't get any kind of results even close to what i have been seen of RandomWalk

This is a good starting point. Its not DAZ but the nodes are the same. I can upload my skin shader notes later on

Thank you! This really helped me to get some results, another thing, Is there a way to fix this problem? I get it when using both Specular and diffuse layers, when following his guide, i guess it's the character geometry showing up? It also appears all around the model's bodies

You need to increase your figures subdivision level to at least 3. And make sure that "smoothing" is enabled in all your materials. This is a known problem with scattering and developers are aware of this. But since the last answer we got regarding this issue was "its just how the plugins works", i am not sure this will ever relly be fixed.
