Hi,
the 499€ update will bring your perpetual v4 licenses to 2020.

If you want to use new versions, you could purchase an annual Enterprise subscription update for 199€ instead, but at the end of the annual maintenance, your licenses will go back to v4:

Note that all upgrade paths are offering you the possibility to use any kind of Octane DCC plugins (including C4D or OctaneX), and also the ORC/RNDR Octane Render Cloud subscription services (render credits need to be purchased separately).

Also note that Octane is in constant development, and completely rewritten at any major update.
Here are the new features added:

In 2018/2019:

In 2020.1:

In 2020.2:

And now in 2021:

There are also Prime free tier licenses for Octane CUDA version, limited to max 1x GPU, for DAZ, Unity, Blender, and Unreal:

Happy GPU rendering,
ciao Beppe

Ciao Beppe, yes thank you for the details, the help line told me so as well.
I was just sayin that the price is pretty steep for me, especially for updating from version 4 to 2020... Anyway I'll figure out what todo, upgrade 1 year or upgrade permanent.
I'm still playin with the 2020 release (free version with water marks) to figure out if it's for me.

tnx for your help
