Dear Otoy-Team,

we, the Mac users, really appreciate an answer here !
We would like to use Octane furthermore with Macs and the new Metal-Road.
But feeling this silence here regarding this important question, I got the impression, it became less important and so - as soon as Redshift get out with Metal support for AMD architecture - I for myself leave Octane (and it would be a pity).

my feeling is that otoy is bound by some kind of NDA with apple in conjunction with the impending mac pro release...

I'd like to work with Radeon VIIs on Windows. I'm I understanding correctly: AMD Radeon cards aren't currently supported with Mac or Windows?

Yes MacOS only got AMD (and Intel) for now. Vulkan work for windows AMD/Intel is done, but unlike Metal, we don’t have stable drivers so no ETA on when this could happen for PC/Linux. Apple has awesome drivers and Octane X is making Greta progress towards general release. Preview soon!

Do you have any news on the compatibility of Octane with AMD and Metal ?

Is it something that we can expect working and STABLE before the end of the year ? Q1 ?
May be do you have little clues to give us that didn't break some sort of NDA you signed with Apple just to reassure us that it's still a good idea to buy the incoming Mac PRO to do 3D rendering in our compagny.

That lack of communication about that + the terrible pricing clarity is SO D... confusing for the consummer ...

So the new Mac Pro is available to purchase since today. Do you have any news about Octane X for Mac and AMD GPU ? Especially about the C4D (stable) Plugin.

Ahaha Yeah I know ... but the company where I'll start a new job is working exclusivley on mac os system. In our case the mac will not be a rendering machine it will be only for look & dev purpose.
