Hi Jim,

Thanks for the update, Any news for the camera support film gate "horizontal" and "fill" giving different results on viewport render and on export?
Also the Tonnemapping option available with the PNG 16bit , and specially not block the imager as Linear when we have Tonnemapping activated , Please?

Just to informe you aswell I realise on the plug when we have multiple references with multiple octane settings with nodes connected sometimes give weird result and freeze the samples at batch render stage to fix we did a mel script to cleanup all unused nodes and extra octane settings. and is working fine after that.

Please the camera film gate would be great to have a update cause with projects with Fill and just change to Horizontal changes completely the camera view of view and then we need update animation quite bad for workflow. Aswell this tonnemapping options

Cheers,
JO

I've asked you about batch rendering issue, not about viewport.

Edit 2: Batch render worked in this version when I choose the frame range. start frame on 1 and end frame on 1.

Thank you for info!
- Does it mean that in 13.28 the batch rendering does not save the results on your machine anymore? While 13.27 still saves?..
- And (this is very important question): are you absolutely sure that after switching to JPG output it still does not save the JPG results too?
- Could you please post the content of the SE and the render-log of the batch render session that did not save the results?

Sorry for many questions, but I need all the detailed info from somebody who has troubles with batch saving, 'cause it works on my machine flawlessly...

One question. I always need activate frame range? If yes I did not tested all the last version. If not. No one works for me.

If somebody else has this batch-rendering issue - you are welcome to post a proper description (in readable English, with answers to all my previous questions) of what you do and what you get exactly, step by step, with the SE-content, render-log, and the scene attached.

Octane for maya looks more like a kid's toy or a great hobby for people who do not have the need to do paid work for a client.
Calling a stable version is almost an affront to our intelligence.

Stay up the good work, Peace. =)
