Once a license has been installed to the dongle, it cannot be converted back into a normal license.

Let me get this straight....you're telling us a dongle, invalidating an internet connected license, is the fix to a temporary internet outage?!

To get back to an internet connected license, after the internet is back up, we'd need to pay $899 to get our license back ?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

I have never even heard of Octane being hacked, so i dont know why they are so super paranoid.

Otoy leaves a bad taste in my mouth nowdays, it seems that they are not so concerned with fixing issues or being accommodating to clients

Probably because competitors are doing that and all they are riding on is hype from years ago.

please write to [email protected] for licenses issues, and refund request.
Please, also note that v4 upgrade was free for everyone, and we had to switch to USB dongle to be able to guarantee the Offline option.
Happy Rendering

I understand the security and pirating is a concern of yours. But paying customers on say enterprise shouldn't have to deal with this kind of crap. It's 2019, figure it out. Simple solution right here, activate on a machine via login and its active on that machine until deactivated regardless of the internet or not if the customer wants to use a different machine later they have to deactivate it on the machine they activated on and then activate on the new one. This prevents what you fear and allows us the customers to have some flexibility. Who buys dongles..... other company's have done away with that nonsense for a reason.

This isn't rocket science.

Lastly..... theres a free version of octane and you guys are seriously hung the fck up on paying customers? Sorry for the language and bluntness but REALLY stuff like this pisses people off myself included. Protect your IP but dont screw your customers to do it. people are trying to pirate Redshift not Octane....
