1-What does happen if you don't use customlut?
2-What happens if you use absolute path in customlut, not relative?

Hi Ahmet,

1. if "no" custom Lut-File is loaded I have a very slow/laggy C4D-viewort-performance.
It takes seconds until the viewport reacts to even minimal navigation (zoom, roation or movement with keys 1,2 or 3)
If any custom Lut "is" loaded the viewport reacts fast as usual (always with LV on)
the strenght btw. has no impact

2. not sure what you mean with absolut or relativ
There is no difference, if the Lut is on another HD or in the project-folder
As soon as any Lut is loaded everythings seams to work properly

Hope this helps!

Btw. if I deactivate the "camera Imager" in the camera tag and set same settings in the "camera imager" inside the render settings
everything is fine again.

regards
Mike

This doesn't sounds as what i expected. I don't think this is directly an Octane problem. Probably an opengl driver issue. So I cannot see anythings up to me.

Hi Ahmet!
I don't know if could be useful for you, but it seems to me that the Custom LUT field (of Camera TAG) always search for a LUT file and, using large texture disk, cause some lag in the viewport if can't find one (this during a rendering in Live Viewer).
So loading a custom LUT file the things return to normality.

Also if is useful I've reported the problem in a video on this post:

this video shows exactely the problem I have!

In 3.07 = no problem
camera imager deactivated = no problem
Lut loaded = no problem

its same sort of problem, if you have missing textures/bitmaps in your scene.
All navigation in viewport completely lags.

So I agree with Giolets, it seams like that Octane is searching for a missing file, because
of empty Lut-slot

FWIW, I'm not seeing anything similar on 308 mac with a basic scene.
What similarities do you two have on your windows machines?

The FPS shown here is about 12 with and without camera imager enabled. It's actually about 35 when not screen recording too.

As mentioned, I had to know the following details to reproduce the issue.
1-Should have a customlut in camera imager and file should not be in absolute path.
2-Should have a large amount of files in search paths.
Without both of those that's not possible to reproduce the issue. And NO FIX. Now i found where's the issue on code for this case. It was re-scanning the paths when you have a custom lut with relative path.
Please check this version and give me a feedback.

Bingo!

Seams that the new Version solved the problem!
No more lags with "cameras imager" activated (and no Lut-File loaded)!

Will keep watching the coming days.

But for now BIG THANKS for your investigation and fast solution!

Also is fixed for our workstations here!
Thanks a lot Ahmet.

I think that this positive cooperation from all the users and Devs are really useful and precious.
Users have to improve their analytic ability on plugin issue, that is not easy because require time and some hardware/software knowledge...

From this side Ahmet you will find always an help for you if you need, we know that your work is not easy and hard especially when 99% of posts are related to problems.. but unfortunately this is the reason of the forum to exist.
So be patient and think that your work is really really appreciated!

Regards.
