I don't see how it would be possible to 'fix' an image to an animated object without UVs to guide the changes.

i appreciate your reply.
in redshift i have removed uv maps and added a noise map on both static and animated objects.
the noise cleraly sticks to the objects and has the same relative positions. see attachment.
i have since uv´d everything and solved the issue but the point is that the method aoktar described is not working on my end.
i dont know if its a bug or what. (a user also confirmed that the noise is not sticking to deformed objects.)
at this point i just wanted to have the issue confirmed and its just so irritating that the posts go on ignored after i followed it up with more details.
i will certainly stop reporting my problems here, its just a waste of my time.

Hi crackfox,
please have a look at the attached scene with c4d Cubic projection, no UVs, Stick Texture tag, and Octane procedural shaders with UV Transform node, with and without Baking Texture:
ciao Beppe

thank you beppe i greatly appreciate the help.
apparently mdd point cache does not work out of the box, i will analyse your file and see if i can make it work.
man thanks.

though i am aware that you seem to use a v4 version of the plugin, i'd like to point out that the "transform" and "projection" features of the "baking texture" node are not visilbe as nodes themsleves, when i open your file (using 3.08 stable).
independently from your file: whenever i add a "baking texture" node and klick on the "transform" and "projection" - buttons within the "baking texture" node, they do appear, but: they are not connected with the "baking texture" node by lines, they're just float in the node editor, but still seem to influence the "baking texture" node.
additionally, those newly created "transform" and "projection" nodes have no input dots. one needs to click on them and adjust the values to be able to change something.
