Thanks for reporting the issue with PhoenixFD. There is indeed a bug in the volume rendering.
That also affect the Octane Volume objects, using VDB files.
A temporary work-around is to add a render pass, for example, add a Diffuse pass in Render settings / Render Element ..
A fix is being working on for the next release.
Thanks!

Thank you Could you also check particles like foam, splash and dark ocean after the grid border to make sure they render correctly

So, clarify something for me. Are there two teams working on 3dsmax plugins now? One for 3.08x and one for 4.0x?

I know that my workflow won't be dramatically improved by these incremental 3.0 plugin updates and thats fine, that's just me. But why not focus all resources on getting plugins for 4 up and running and abandon 3?

No there aren't. Octane V4 is under development, new V4 XB2 will be 3.08 RCx + V4. I do not think a stable version will be released soon.
I think Octane V4 XBx for 3dsMax test version will be released in the near future.

Hi coilbook,
are you using a hub switch in your network or is it connected to something like a router? I had this issue in the past, but not using hub switches.
Has it happened since you use windows 10 and windows 7 together?

Hi Paride
all PCs now have windows 10. Master and one of the slaves are connected to the router. Then there is a 50 foot cat7 cable that goes from the router to the switch. Three more slaves are connected to that switch (dlink switch). One of the slaves that connected to the switch is doing this.

Thanks
