open the mlt file (the one that generates at the same time that the obj file) with the notepad, check the paths and file names of the texture files and see if they are place there in your pc, if possible stay away from non-standard characters or spaces on the names of the image files to ensure that they get properly exported (that has nothing to do with octane but with the obj file type and your modeling app exporting options)

Yes the texture files are in the exact same location that the .mtl file has specified...and no textures

are there any spaces in the file names of the image files? and what demo version are you using?
