Are you closing Live Viewer while working with Node Editor? If so that's causing crashes after that.

hi,

not sure what you mean - if closing the viewer causes the crash or having it open but my viewer is mostly always open.
however i am just having another problem unrelated to the node editor, still crashing c4d though.

issue:
i have a background element turned off in the scene and the viewport.
i open the viewer and then turn the background on.
the c4d crashes everytime.

generally i am getting alot of crashes right now and its kind of killing me since i am on a deadline again.
i hope to give more detailed feedback but the steps above is the best i can do atm.

Can you capture a video for crash and send me this scene? So i can try to reproduce. That's best way for me.
And what's your parameters in c4d_shaders and others sections?

hi aoktar,

i will try and do that as soon as i can, it will take me a bit thought.

i also had a crash right this moment while the live viewer was opened and i tried and change the output resolution in the c4d render settings.
just a fyi.

will write in here with more details as i find time.

oh and btw on these live viewer crashes i had not changed any c4d shader settings. these are simple scenes with a couple of materials and a few meshes at around 30-50mb or less.

Hard to read texts but enough i think. What do you have on background? Standard material with c4d bitmap? Can i get bugreport.zip also?

yeah my iphone video got compressed as hell.

on the background i have standard c4d material and in the difuse slot a lowres photo.
one obj object, one light and thats all.

for some reason i actually get no bugreports. cinema also does not really crash but stops responding.

Please delete prefs folder which has some file for octane settings. And delete c4doctane directory from plugins. And make sure you did a clean start with neww copy of plugin.
Note that this will reset all preferences of C4D.
