Hi Guys,
something enexpected seems to be.
I thought it might be something around Reduced / fixed self-shadow artifacts at the terminator of point-like lights on objects with very strong and fine bump maps in 3.04.1b SDK,
but the issue is in previous versions too.
I submitted this issue for developers.
Thanks

Hi Guys,
confirmed my initial theory, the problem is self-shadowing due to too coarse geometry or too small ray epsilon.
You have to either decrease the triangle size by subdividing the sphere higher or to increase the ray epsilon.

brilliant to change the ray Epsilon - well let's say ..... 1. I have CM ... for real work I need to do 0,00001 but what would appear the correct shade in low medli I need the ray Epsilon value of 0.001 . . . and what do you suggest I do
download/file.php?id=59437&mode=view
mode 0.001 shadow on the object behaves correctly but AO not working right

All base in millimeters, we do not just write about the wrong dimension
if you do programming, it must prislushivatsya to the users software that work always with the correct measurement, meters are not accurate units, they are limited. As an architect? or designer? And this is your main user base, 3 dc max working majority of architects, designers.

@Elvissuperstar007
Learn about physics and how path tracing works would help don't do meaningless testing.
Each render engine works well or not, if the user knows what he's doing.
With tests like these we can say everything and its opposite.
This reminds people believe a nice render depends on the software.

HOW long do I have to prove to you in reverence and bows that the conversion should be automatic ... none of the regular users will not consider such trifles as the render will be an ASS

your all library material will not work in different worlds all settings of density of materials - ass ... all the settings fog smoke - all need to be reconfigured
dispersion - the level of density of the color glass - the level of displays etc.... ass ass ass
.................
you foam at the mouth to prove that we must work in the meter world - but we will never work - IT's UNCOMFORTABLE - and all your settings optimized for the m WORLD !!!!!
