Try:
Geometry Engine: Resend Only Updated Objects
Geometry Control: All Objects Movable

'Resend All Scene Data' is old and is advised against using.

Better to use "auto detect" by default.

Sorry but i'm not a guesser. I'll take a look if you provide a sample scene and i will try to say what's happening. Please don't say that's under NDA. If so pls provide a quick test scene with some different objects.

CUDA Driver Version: 8.0.51
OSX10.11.6
C4D R18.028 (Build RB177006)

I've tried with png/B&W to set my textures Alpha (instead of layers in a psd file), same issues in picture viewer/final render.

How can i send you a scene in private ?

This is a good example why you should not use c4d BITMAP rather than IMAGETEXTURE. It propably messed up due your settings in BITMAP to force alpha out.
