Thanks guys, the memory used was around 3 GB, moslty because of the huge textures.
it was too heavy to render on my local machine, so I rendered it with ORC.

One question : how do you do the moss on the bark in the second image. Is this 2d atlases texured planes scattered on the bark?

No that one is full 3D with a scatter material, it doesn't even have a texture applied. ;)
