Thank you for providing the above files.

The ORBX is being written correctly, however Octane Standalone is not loading the scene correctly when there are Chinese characters in the material name. I have reported this to Otoy, and they have been able to re-produce the problem, and they will fix the problem in a future release of Octane Standalone.

To help resolve this issue - could you pls send me a simple .rvt file which contains geometry with a material with a Chinese material name.

Thanks

I cannot get the is file load correctly in Revit 2017. The plugin gives repeat errors "Project Browser element not found" (which I would expect, since the Chinese version of Revit would call the "Project Browser" scene item something else. So I do not see how using the plugin would be via when it is run in Revit Chinese version.

I was however able to start Revit in English, load you scene, render (popped two Octane errors - which may have been missing assets?), export to ORBX, and load into Standalone and all the materials were connected (although the Chinese material names appeared as '????'). So I think the most viable option is to run Revit in English mode when using the plugin. I have setup two icons for Revit 2017 - one for English and one for Chinese, so it's easy to start either one.

Thanks a lot! :D

So I should use revit in English rather than in Chinese when I export to octane?

Or you mean you have updated the plugin for revit 2017 that can solve this problem? ( could you update the plugin for 2016)

No, I don't think there is an easy way to code around this unless I learn Chinese :-/
