I've already downloaded it and installed it in a 2nd c4d folder, for testing purposes.
The only problem is that I didn't understand how the new displacement works. There is no more the "shift parameter".
Now I will activate the alpha to test it.

When I open it with the alpha... Cinema opens the file, I see the geometry but no texture is loaded, and then it hangs. Waiting since 10 minutes now.

Also the stable version hangs now when opening the file.
I disabled OpenGL preview before opening the file and it opens smoothly.
Both on stable version and alpha.

Ok. Displacement very similar but can be used also for z-brush type displacements. Mid level=0.5 mean zero height on %50 white. Darker=Negative, Lighter=Positive.
Mid level=0, everything is positive.
Send me a sample scene with some textures to test it on osx if you can or i'll check with some big jpegs on OSX. But we don't have any issues on windows machines like that.

I'm trying on OS X 10.10 and R16, same issue. Before I was on Windows 7 64bit
Thank you very much for real time support! It's saturday night
