It's good to know that there's a chance that this feature will come before the next official release.

I'll keep a lookout for new releases. Please would you mind keeping us updated on the development of this as it is so vital to product visualisation work as I'm sure you've heard.

I can provide use case scenarios if you guys want to test on some real production CAD data.

We have made a new test release that includes some improvements in how rounded edges are calculated so feel free to give it a try:

Note that this is not the final version that will be included in v3.1 but it should be a significant improvement in many cases.

I have only had time to test it with some simple geometry, but there it worked great! Thank you! Will do some in depth tests when I find the time!

Has there been any update on this? I've just started using 4 and still can't get rounded corners to work on CAD data.
It really flattens the render when we don't have it and lets a lot of Octanes awesomeness be ruined by the smallest thing that people instantly comment on lol

we’re trying to squeeze it in 2018.1, but most likely coming in 2019.1.
