Our studio began to use Redshift just this month and the number one reason was the lack of support for the Octane Maya plugin.

Not only do many questions go unanswered on this forum, but when they do, the answers from Otoy staff are often condescending and too brief to be useful.

Also, it's not unusual for features in the plugin to be in place for months before there's any documentation, and even when the documentation gets written it's often not sufficient to understand how to use the plugin. More example pics and videos, please!

Octane for Maya is quickly becoming a third or fourth option for our studio even though it was extremely popular with our artists as recently as last year.

There will be additional resources and support coming to the Maya plug-in with V3 release.

In the Early days of Octane, when the Plugin was not integrated, Tchoa was in charge of the development of the script. He was always kind and helpful to find solutions and help the users. And he is one of the most talented Maya developers that the earth has to offer.
Did you ask him to support?

I wasn't aware; can you send more details to [email protected] so we can follow up directly with him?

Thank you

Thanks for the reply, Goldorak. That's great news.
With Maya having a large user base, this could be huge for Otoy.

Jagger, as for 'mograph tools', 'MASH' is now working with Autodesk:

Mash is, 'a procedural animation toolkit for Maya'. Not unlike Mograph.

Sorry, can't speak for Mograph, but MASH seems fairly straight forward.
Just my experience. :D
