Weren't you supposed to have done that 3 months ago? You basically posted the same thing on Sat Jun 06, 2015 12:13 am:
Yep. i am doing what I can to get regular updates back on track. I will keep you posted.

Can you clarify whether there is a closed beta? There is some confusion about whether we, as owners of the beta, are receiving the latest updates or whether they are only available to a closed group.

I think, actually, anything other than "we're working on it" would be informative.
We know you're "working on it". It would be a sad state of affairs if you are not "working on it".
Has the current list of bugs been addressed?
Is there an actual "closed beta"?
Will Octane v3 appear in a plugin?
Will we have to pay for that as well?
What is the timeframe for having a production non-beta Octane plugin for Daz Studio? Is it measured in years, months, or days?
A roadmap would be something to calm the frustrated.
Organization and communication can go a long way.
Thank you.

Any timeline that has ever been given (and there's been a few) has been wrong by at least 6 months, time and again, so they're close to useless. I don't want a timeline I want results, we're about 18 months too late for timelines and roadmaps.

Has anyone from Otoy been able to make contact with the OcDS plugin developer in the week after this thread was started?
The message I sent on August 18 2015 is still in the outbox.
None of the questions published in the first post of this thread have been answered.

- Maybe the plugin developer is on a three week holiday?

This is a discouraging thread as a new DAZ / DAZ Octane user... is this plug in doomed?

you should have seen it the last... 8 months

compared to that it works like a charm since last update... worst bugs are gone, still enough remaining.
and deep in our guts we all know... that we wont see any update before another 3-4 months have passed, as frustrating that may be

quite different than the Poser plugin, the developer there is active almost daily and responds to issues in a day at the worst.

It has been a week.
How regular are the "regular" updates supposed to happen?

Thats the difference from full time dev and part time. That developer face_off also makes a bunch of others
Developer: OctaneRender for Poser, ArchiCAD, Revit, Inventor, AutoCAD, Rhino, Modo
He's full time and 100% committed to the plugins. Or at least I would assume so, otherwise he's superman.
