Hi Jan,
the only difference I can see in the scattering node is that I live the blackbody node as it is and the general effect is controlled with the transmission node :roll:

anyway, here is the scene for testing, is not accurate but should be a good example.
you have to change the transmission approach because you need brighter in the border, the exact opposite of my example ;)

I don't think using a scatter node in the glass pane, vs using a plane with an emitting material will result in different renders.

Your photo shows the illumination on the inside of the frame. This illumination is also clearly present on the inside of the small displays in your render.

Can you show your kernel settings? My guess is your maximum depth setting is too low to render the light in front of the glass panes.
