Uhmm, the versions are Ok. And do you have this problem with any scene in LightWave, even with a simple one? ... Are you sure that the scene fits in your render node GPUs RAM?

Yes, scene size is tiny so that isnt the issue.

So now I'm getting 7\0 in net GPU when I hit render, then after about 1m30s I get 7\7 but that's meaning that the rig is only rendering for the final 33% of the frame.

It seems like there is an initialization period which is really stange as yesterday it was instant and I was blown away with how quick it was.

Seems like its a network issue.

Yes, it seems a network issue. The scene takes a lot of time to be transferred to the render node, but you should have the same problem rendering from the Standalone. It is a weird problem.

And do you have 8 GPUs in the system but you only can see 7 in the network panel? ... perhaps you should try to unplug one of the GPUs to see how the render node works with only 7 GPUs.

Also please check the render node console output, to see there is any kind of error messages.

We actually tried it with just one GPU in the slave and still had the same issue, so it seems to be a software/drivers issue (maybe).

The slave pc is brand new so maybe it needs to have all the windows updates, chipset drivers etc all up to date?

Will see how it goes.

If there is a system problem due to the 8 GPUs plugged in the computer, select only one or few for rendering doesn't going to fix the problem. I am thinking in a Windows system or NVidia drivers problem, or a hardware issue in the PCIe buses ... who knows.

If you can't find the problem, you should unplug some of the GPUs to see if the computer works fine with less cards, and later add more, one by one, to know when the system begins to fail.

I have managed to fix the issue and now have 7 gpu's rendering correctly over the network.

It turned out to be a defective network cable pulling connection speed down to 10Mbs LOL

Thanks for the support :)
