Yes, for plants, rocks, anything that needs to be realistically placed and exactly where I want.
AP's dynamics system makes it amazing for real realism and of course not only for nature, it can be used for anything with instances.

Your pics look nice but you don't tell anything about how you did them and how hard work it was.
I am sure you CAN do pretty much anything related to instances with LW instances but if it involves weight or other maps to control distribution and some complicated setups then I prefer AP. It is easy to use and you see in realtime where the plants appear and where the rocks slide or roll because of gravity and other physics.

So reveal how you did those scenes :)

I can't wait to play with this. I'm on a large gig for weeks yet, but I'm doing a post-apocalyptic scene in my next project and I think AP will make my life much easier on that one. ;)

Yes it is great but make sure you'll get the latest build (in Dropbox, in plugins/bleeding_edge_compiles), I have done beta testing on it and given some ideas. There were some problems that are now fixed and the UI is also better for smooth workflow :)

AP is incredible, especially because of the dynamics so if you set the objects to put a bit above the ground and then activate dynamics while painting, you can really 'throw' rocks to terrain and see how they roll or slide to dynamically realistic places depending on friction, mass and other settings!

And also AP handles the overlapping very well, for example if you make mushroom-like object and then paint with it with random size, the small mushroom actually go under big ones but do not overlap unless you let them (there is %-setting for that).
