One GPU per frame? But can you still render like 30 frames at once with 30 GPUs?

That is correct. See the GTC presentation video. This is how ORC handles animations efficiently. You get back miltiple animation frames at once as thumbnails to scrub through as they render.

Right now orc.otoy.com is a web page that you drop your ORBX files into for render jobs. Down the line, we would like to support exactly what you are asking for, i.e. connecting to orc.otoy.com directly from apps and plug-ins. We can't promise a time-frame just yet, but can at least confirm that it is on our wish list too. When/if we do this, it will be done right.
AMAZING!. just for information... im not familiar with orbx files. is there a simple way to export my c4d-project with all models/materials and animation to an orbx to render it in the cloud before the one button solution will be available?
