v2 doesn't yet render animation properly. We have to wait for the next update unfortunately. v1.2 is the best it gets. There are still problems with v1.2 such as hair/clothing sometimes not updating during animation rendering. It's very unlikely that v1.2 will be fixed so we must wait for the v2.xx final release. It's a PITA but that's the situation right now.

Ok, ty Spectralis. Last thing: I tried to export the animation from OcDS in Octane and it works, but a 200 frames animation, with a single Genesis 2 figure (without dress or any other object) it weights 500 Mb. There is another way to export the animation in order to reduce the size (Alembic Exporter?). Another thing is that Octane, after importing the .abc, lost the texture reference and the name (I only find Material Out_1, Material Out_2 etc.), so is hard to copy the right texture from an .obj. What can I do?
Ty all for the help
K.

Some people here have had experience of exporting DS scenes to the standalone including using the Alembic exporter. From what I gather it's not an easy road to take because very little can be tweaked after export and the files can be pretty large. Maybe there's a way to share material settings between the plugin and standalone? There are already forum threads about this subject which are worth checking out. Maybe they contain the info you need?
Personally, I've not gone down this route because, from what I've read on this forum, DS exports to the standalone have their own unique problems and limitations. I don't believe this is a viable alternative to the best we have at the moment which is, sadly, v1.2.
