Been having a small issue with the "Set Camera Focus to Scene Object" from time to time the screen goes solid white.

This happened to me too. Not sure entirely sure what triggers it. But I found that if you check the Octane camera parameters in the DS interface, the focal distance was set to ZERO. I was able to correct it in there after changing the limits and then it worked again. Maybe try that if it happens again so the we can see if it is consistent.

...that's it; i was investigating that already, but could never get it to happen. anyway, an additional check against a zero focus distance (which just can't be valid) should sort it out...

another... rather smaaaaall issue... i have huge loading times when loading in even smallest props or primitives... 1-2 minutes. is it possible that depends on new update? never had that long load times before... its not a real big problem... just time consuming

hm. is pretty hard to tell, but it should never take that long; more like a couple seconds. does the daz load dialog/porogress need that long to finish, or does the delay happen afterwards? can you try if unchecking "automatic material updates..." and "load octanerender materials..." in the preferences makes any difference?
there are still a few heavy changes going on underneath (i.e some modifications needed because of changes in ds 4.7 beta), so it may come from that. anyone else experiencing notable load delays?

So how do I upgrade/activate the plugin?
I purchased an upgrade for v2 back in august when there was a free plugin upgrade included, but in my account the studio version is still only for v1.

This is excellent and impressive t3, a great accomplishment. I'm using OcDS 2.1, latest build.
The following is not a bug, just something for testers to keep in mind. If I open a scene where a mesh has significant smoothing and collision on it, the scene will crash unless the Octane preferences has "wait for DS background tasks." checked. I've had no problems if that is checked. Also if you merge the scene instead of open it, it will not crash.
Also, this is a minor and easily "work-around-able" issue, for a custom material, selecting "invert" in the for a RGB texture for the diffuse map, does not seem to invert the map, just set it to white under "Standard". The bump map and the trans map do invert properly.
Thanks again. I'm really enjoying the new version.

If you have a free plug-in upgrade available (from the early upgrade offer for stand alone), you can simply go to the page for purchasing the the upgrade for the OcDS plug-in (select plug-in only, the 99 euro option), and "buy" it. The price should automatically go to zero if you have an available upgrade. Make sure you are logged in to you OTOY account. Worked for me.

would it be possible to get a crash log from that? i'd at least want to avoid the crash if this happens. the result without this checkbox ticked will be probably not correct (might need a full geometry rebuild), but i of course still aim for "crash free"

I have noticed with any other materials, but when I try to smart unfold Tony Sculptors SKin2 it locks up everything and I end up having to force shutdown Daz. I never had this issue in the previous update.
