I am not getting a render. It says not connected no render server eventhough I have the server turned on.

We are going to need some more information, your OS, GPU, driver version, etc. At this point it looks like you could be having problems with any number of things. One thing that helps is that you put your system information in your signature. It makes it easier to figure out what is going wrong.
