I have read more carefully the previous posts, sorry, I was so happy to see OR v2 working again under Yosemite that I have not verified the previous versions
Effectively, there is an issue with all the 1.5.x versions, it doesn't starts and nothing happen.
Also with the new CUDA 6.5.18 doesn't solve :(
After some tweaking, i have got this error message:

Code: Select all

Application Specific Information:
dyld: launch, loading dependent libraries

Dyld Error Message:
  Library not loaded: /usr/local/cuda/lib/libcuda.dylib
  Referenced from: /Applications/OctaneRender 1.55.app/Contents/MacOS/octane
Reason: no suitable image found. Did find:
/usr/local/cuda/lib/libcuda.dylib: no matching architecture in universal wrapper
anyway, v2.x and v1.20 work smoothly.

Hi again
I tried both CUDA 5.14 and 5.18 with the same problem (error 9) Octane Version: 1.51, 1.53.1 and 1.55
But no problem with Octane version 1.20

Except all my works are in 1.55 version...

Help Please.

Hi
I can verify that the demo version of Octane 2.06 works with the updated CUDA drivers BUT V1.55 does not work (it won't even start)
Otoy please can you comment on this thread - it looks like unless we have v2 or above, our Octane license is effectively useless if we upgrade to Yosemite. Is V1.55 going to be fixed?
Thanks

Is there any official word as to whether there will be a maintenance update for Octane 1.55 to work with Yosemite (MacOS 10.10)? The program is completely shut down, doesn't even open. Apple has disabled reverting to the previous system so to go back is not an option.

I didn't see anything in the forums and definitely didn't get any email or warnings not upgrade during the OS beta. This is the only program with any difficulties after upgrading. Hopefully we're not left with a useless app. Thanks. -Derryl

this issue was solved some week ago as you can read in the official discussion of v1.55:
