Ive moved to genesis 2 lately, and the results speak for themselves. Variants of the RedSpec TGX shaders are used for the hair, Clothes and Figure.
I must say that creating a Skin shader is one thing, creating a figure package is another. The RedSpec material packages is a combination of taylor made and tweaked SSS shaders and specular shaders, individually "Fine-Tuned" to create a complete combined effect, that works as easy as click and load, but with the capability to be tweaked in as easy as possible way with the help of a in-depth tutorial, to really make each render unique.

Im trying to export to Vue and using SkinVue Elite with the RedSpec SSS with no luck at getting the SS map to show up. I export all materials to scene.
Im using version 1.5 of octane maybe that is the problem I am not sure.

SkinVue will not pickup the textures in the Octane node - so what you are trying to do is unlikely to work.

I searched the forums to try and find a way to export the textures and have them imbued into the character. Are they actually saved when saving the pz3? If so i would get something like the Poser File Editor to try and extract the map.
Is that possible?

Unless you have a high level of python proficiency, you will need to extract them manually. The Octane materials are not meant to be convertable to anything else.

Here we go this took me about a week to design HD texture map just for the face.
It was taken from high resolution model that I found somewhere on the Internet
So I customized the texture. To suit my needs.
Still not overly happy with it but it's certainly better than the default
once you get in poser it just takes a bit of time and effort
If you want realistic renders and you can have to think outside the box

Can you post a tutorial on how to make skin look like that? I have been really pissed about this... i have switched from poser firefly renderer
and it took five seconds there to make skin look realistic, and its retarded in octane... Makers of octane did not post any decent skin shaders
in live DB... there are few but no clue how to use them they are a color of a jello not skin, and i tried for few hours to figure out where to connect
the color textures, and specular maps and bump maps with no success... :/ its VERY frustrating.

The default skin material that the plugin generates for Poser figure skin materials should look better than the best Poser skin shader. If that isn't good enough for your rendering, you can get the RedSpec skin shaders. If you want to create your own - a good starting point is at
