say thank you, I am working not only on 3dsmax plugin, otherwise you would not have this speed improvement.
Be patient and you will get 3ds plugin 2.10 soon.
2.10 will have static noise.coilbook wrote:KarbaKarba wrote:2½ faster?

I dont know if it is even possible for GPU rendering
will we ever see and option to lock in noise so it wont move chaotically? in animation I am ok with grain as long as it does not move chaotically or that's the way GPU works. Thank you
FINALLY! Thank you ! This will be so good for animations without tiny dots moving around.Karba wrote:2.10 will have static noise.coilbook wrote:KarbaKarba wrote:2½ faster?

I hope it will be optional checkbox, cause static noise is very unnatural and artificial. It never occures with film cameras.Karba wrote: 2.10 will have static noise.
Have you disabled transmission on the material in 3dsmax scene. Same applies to standalone, faster result with no transmission node on diffuse materials. By default octane materials are setup with the transmission set to 0. Change this to texture to disable and see if you get faster render speed.RobSteady wrote:With the Max plugin I get slower speeds for 2.06 compared to standalone (8.5 Ms/sec vs 11.36 Ms/sec).
Can anyone please check?
Here's the Max file: And here Standalone: Obj:
Thanks.MaTtY631990 wrote:Have you disabled transmission on the material in 3dsmax scene. Same applies to standalone, faster result with no transmission node on diffuse materials.
