Thanks a lot, Paul, for the heads-up.
I can report a speed increase in sampling, using the new "coherent mode" and Pathtracing of 35 % using the same scene / lighting.

Very well done :)

Probably just me... but this occurs on every render.
It doesn't stop the render and doesn't cause any effects to it... but just occasionally pops up.

I have refreshed the installers at the top of this thread with:

2.10.0.27
- Fixed python exception resulting from having progressive save enabled

That should resolve the issue reported above.

Hi Paul, I believe I have found a bug * in animation part of octane render. Were objects is out of focus. The matter what you do.

You used to be able while rendering animation to use the autofocus icon to click anywhere within the window and it would autofocus for you. This seems to been disabled? I wonder if you could re-enable this. As it is actually quite handy to do whilst you are actually doing animation

Anyway, onto the bug . In my scene. There is 400 frames I've enclosed two screenshots , both from frame 113 if you do normal render on 113
all is fine. All this in focus (and yes, I have tried to click on the autofocus within the settings within the animation that still doesn't work)

When you go to the same frame 113 the matter what you do. It is out of focus only slightly, but it bugs the hell out of me, said before
you used to be to use the autofocus icon within animation and could always correct this problem , but it no longer works

Please see enclosed screen dumps . If you wish me to send you the files and quite happy to do this, please let me know
the enclosed files . The first one is out of focus . The second one is the one that is in focus. You can see there is quite a difference

You should not be able to focus pick whilst rendering an animation. If that was ever possible, that would be a bug.

Can you pls post screenshot of the Settings and Animation tab for that scene? Also - is Autofocus enabled or disabled?

Thanks

Paul

Where can I find the stand alone Octane 2.10? The download page still shows version 2.06. This version was compiled against 2.10, right?
