I have a problem with the geometry of the standard Poser figures

example with figure OliviaG2

many artifacts in the shadows . edge of shadows very hard. The feeling that the figure turned into a little polygon

Hi - I just tested this and you are right - shadow artifacts are being creating. To get around this, either use the "texture environment" (rather than Daylight), OR set the subdivision level of the mesh to 1. I will report this to Otoy.

I'm not sure - sorry. Just set subd to 1 to get around this - or use texture environment lighting.

Hi -set the subdivision level of the mesh to 1 - DOES NOT SOLVE THE PROBLEM!
Function - Daylight works with glitches in most cases
I think,
if the plugin works on half,
Otoy must return money (half of the wholesale prices) this product!

Adjusting the rayepsilon in the kernel settings should fix the shadow problem.

No,
I already gave examples and can give many more
kernel settings - DOES NOT SOLVE THE PROBLEM!

It's a problem Octane have had since day one. To fix it you need to resize your scene. I always resize to decameters and set rayepsilon until the eyeshadows go away and the mesh shadow problem goes away. If it doesn't you need to scale the scene even more.

Below is Roxy, at subd 1 (in the Octane settings), with sun size 2, and ray epsilon 0.00001. I don't see any artifacts.

Also - as Zay rightly says, you can rescale the scene in the Configuration settings to get around this.
