Glimpse suggested GPUZ. I just googled it and found some links but haven't downloaded it yet.
I installed MSI Afterburner that came with my 750Ti (also available for free online), but haven't tested it out.
I also tried downloading EVGA PrecisionX but downloads have been suspended while they make some changes to it.
There's also something called Revatuner that I haven't tried either. These utilities appear to be designed for overclocking, fan control, etc. so I am assuming that they provide some kind of temperature monitoring, but what do I know :)
Let us know what you find that works well.

Hi buggy

I have tested this little utility called GPU temp and have just tested MSI afterburner and they give same readings for my card temperature.
Is this correct 50 c under full load for octane render, or could this be reading wrong. I assumed that the card would get to the 70 - 80 c range when rendering as it mentions from nvidia specs that max temperature is 95 c.

Can anyone tell me what you use to read the gpu temperature. I have gtx 750 ti, what temperature should this get to under full load.

Thanks
Hi MaTt...,

I use GPUTemp.com. Simple and effective. You can assign colours to your individual GPU's which show up in the task bar if you want. If you hover over a temp, it tells you which GPU it is.
