There is an official section on the Otoy Forum where everyone can share their images. :!:

You can return to the board index and then the path is:

Board Index / Artwork / Gallery

http://render.otoy.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=5

There are some specific forum rules that apply when posting images in that section though:
Forum rules
Important notice: All artwork submitted on our public gallery forums gallery forums may or may not be used by OTOY for publication on our website gallery.
If you do not want us to publish your art, please mention it in your post clearly. (put a very red small diagonal cross in the left right corner of the image)
Any images already published on the gallery will be removed if the original author asks us to do so.
We recommend placing your credits on the images so you benefit from the exposure too, and use a minimum image width of 1200 pixels, and pathtracing or PMC. Thanks for your attention, The OctaneRender Team.

For new users: this forum is moderated. Your first post will appear only after it has been reviewed by a moderator, so it will not show up immediately.

This is necessary to avoid this forum being flooded by spam.
To put it different:

If you post images in the DAZ Studio OctaneRender subform you do not explicitely grant permission to Otoy to use the image.

If you do post your images in Artwork / Gallery you grant Otoy permission to use them.
Ah, that good to know :)

Edit2: Just noticed that you appear to be using fake eye reflections, which looks really quite odd in the turntable animation, as they don't change turntable rotates, so it looks a bit like there's something stuck to the surface of her eyes.

I think Sunny Swimsuit HD is probably still the best bit of HD clothing out and my first image with it, is by far my most popular on DA (still gets 50+ views a day 6 months later and passed 15k views total a few days ago).

I look forward to the update with the additional shape support, although not the massive download again :)
(The one major thing I dislike about DIM is having to download the full product again because of tiny changes like the meta data or directory structure. They need to implement support for binary delta changes or something, which would be cool)

Object2VR looks interesting, but waaay over priced for what it does, the standard version would cost me over $100 (AUD) and it still has there branding on it, you need to buy the pro version which costs over $360 to get unbranded output, which is ridiculous and only a bit less than what Octane costs.

Edit: Opps just read what unbranded actually means:
"An unbranded license allows the user to hide the About Pano2VR… or the About Object2VR… menu option found within the right-click context menu of the HTML5 or Flash outputs."

Only the trial version adds watermarks to the output. Still, not the cheapest thing around.

I got that image in my favorites over at DA :D
I wanted to add some background music/noise to the animation.I only just started using FL Studio for about a month, but I'm really happy with it. I thought it was going to be a lot harder. It's very easy to get a little music loop in a couple of hours. I'm no composer and am far from mastering the program, but I find it great to create some background music for this type of animation. I'm glad you noticed :D

The eye reflections are real, but the problem is that the whole scene is white so it looks weird indeed. I got fake shadows on though.

When I uploaded the update I asked if they could split the download up into two parts (one for textures and one for the rest), so customers wouldn't have to download the textures again. I haven't heard anything back yet though (it's still in que)

BTW the intro is suppused to be my business card :)
At first I tried a lot to make something from the logo with just After Effects, but it was too difficult for me. So I decided to try and render something with the logo instead. I designed a the business card. I specially modeled a pen and created the wood texture to give some more sense of scale to the animation... But I don't know how well it came across.

I'm always looking for feedback :D
And after working on a project for a while I kinda loose perspective.

Thank you for providing it :)

I noticed the music so much, I watched/listened to it a few times and then looked in the credits. I spent yesterday afternoon looking into FL Studio and watching their Youtube videos. I got the mobile HD version today as I had a iTunes gift card I've been wondering what to use on and I don't use my ipad3 a great deal. I like that the mobile version lets you "play" music using the touch screen keyboard and drum pad and the interface is very simple to use. If everything works out I'll get the desktop version as well to import stuff from the mobile version into after I'm done doing stuff on the touch screen etc.

It's strange about the eye reflections, I haven't done any actual animation in DS yet, it's on my list to do some turn tables and things for when I finish my first custom G2F character (which I hope to sell, but making skin textures without seams etc is a very steep learning curve and I've made lots of mistakes along the way), hence my interest in Object2VR and FL Studio.
Edit: I forgot to say this before, but you could add a small weak mesh light to get a better eye reflection, I did this in my image Dangerous, you just need to make it bright enough to show up in the eyes and not alter the rest of the lighting, as this is a animation and you can't just have it sitting off to the side like I did, it'd probably work if you made it follow the camera, that is if you're moving the camera and not just spinning the model :) .

I hope they do at least split it and other products, larger high resolution textures are becoming more common all the time.

As for your intro, I have to admit I missed that it was a business card, now that you've pointed it out, I can see that it's a card, but I still don't really see it as a business card as such. Generally I think business cards have a bit more info on them and are also quite often horizontal rather than vertical, however other than maybe adding a url or something so that people who see the intro know where to go to get additional information (about you/your brand or products), I don't think you should clutter it up, it's all very clean and profession looking and I think it really works well.

I got the FL Studio signature version, with the sytrus plugin, which is great. It comes with a whole bunch of presets to get all kinds of sounds and instruments. I didn't really find a quick and easy tutorials for workflow in FL Studio but after some fiddeling it worked out.

Looking forward to seeing the skin texture :)
What program are you using to create it? I have no experience making skin textures, but I think most would use a 3D painting application.

I like the design of the card and tried to keep it clean, so I didn't add too much text and had to use the portrait orientation. That is a bit weird for business cards indeed.

EDIT: What is up with those Lamas on Deviant art ? :D
People give them to me, but i dunno what it is.

And another render, trying to get some good skin. The birthdaysuit versions are on my deviant art page :)

Still tinkering with it...

BTW this is a 2 hour render. I left it rendering longer but it had no effect what so ever after another 90 min. It still doesn't seem completely clear to me. Are there some settings I can tweak to get better results?

Doh, I was all set just to buy the Fruity version, but Sytrus and all those presets look really useful, not to mention some of those specialist Synths like Sakura and Ogun sounds really amazing. I don't know what to do now :?

I'm using the 3D Coat trial at the moment, which is about to run out, to do the initial painting from the photo reference to the texture, then it's back and forward between Photoshop and Lightroom and more 3D Coat it fix up mistakes. I think my mistakes have made it take about 5 times longer than it should have, but there's close to no info at all out there that I've found, so it's all trial and error, it's taken me weeks so far.

I thought I may have to buy the info I wanted, so I bought the make V6 custom character tutorial by dreamlight off the Daz store, but that was close to to useless as it was all about just spinning morph dials and using the skin merchant resource on the Daz Store, cost $80 for no information of any use at all, so I got my first ever refund from Daz.

As for the llamas, I think they're just a bit of fun. As far as I know you can't do anything with them, other than give them to people.

I think in this case it's a lighting issue, low light means really long render times which stay looking grainy (LuxRender is the same), the best way to get low light is to light it well and then make it dark using the 'Imager Settings' once the render looks good. If you compare it to your 2 nude versions, they either have higher lighting levels or less shadows on the skin/body to deal with. Looking pretty good otherwise :)

I noticed you said you were using maxdepth 12 before, this wont really do anything for most renders other than make them quite a bit slower and for this kind of image and depending on your skin material, you can safely drop it down to 6 or maybe even 4, with little or no difference in the result (I use 3/4 for testing and 6 for final), for PT or PMC.

I also find the using PT isn't always a lot faster than PMC, as you generally need less samples with PMC to get the equivalent look in PT, as a general rule I find 6000 Ms/sec in PT = 4000 Ms/sec in PMC and while PMC will probably still be slightly longer render times it's only a few % at best and may well save you time in the long run, as PMC is a much better kernel and deals with things like fireflys better than PT. Sometimes I've had to make PT go to 8K or even 12K Ms/s to make it look like 4K PMC and still been left with fireflys.

Oh and looks like Daz did split your Sunny Swimsuit update, it came in at 26.1MB in the DIM, although it's a bit misleading in the naming, as there's now 'Sunny Swimsuit' the update and 'Sunny Swimsuit HD DS' the new install file @ 1.3GB (though I had to search to find it as it's way down somewhere in my products ready to download list.

Doesn't look like the wiki Docs have updated yet, so I dunno if they'll say more there.

...

Ok just updated it and Daz SUCK, it removed all the texture files, they're GONE, so I have to download the 1.3GB file again anyway!! aaggh lol

Way to break a product now you get an error saying the textures are missing when you try and load it and none of the materials work.

Oh and the HD morphs seem to have moved out from under Actor. I now have Actor -> Morphs -> Adjustment Morphs and Morphs -> HD Folds Morphs, I thought they both used to be under Actor -> Morphs, but maybe I'm wrong.

Edit: Also what's the def_surf_mat surface? I don't remember it being there before and doesn't seem do anything, I set it to a strange bright colour and I can't see it.

Hmm Lilith6... This one's gong to cost me money I'm sure
