Hi Nicolas,
no you don't need to connect the two cards, put the GTX 285 in the lower PCI-E 2.0 x 16 that is double size.
look at the instructions that comes with the card.
than put the GT 120 in the PCI-E 2.0 x 16 just above and connect the monitor/monitors to it.
don't connect the monitor to the 285.
When you get the license you can set octane to work only with the 285 and store this setting in the preferences once and for all ;)

ciao beppe

P.S. it's already november :D

Yep November arrive before this year,

No i couldn't wait, i love the renders i saw and with time, Octane is going to be better and better.
i bought at the beginning of Maxwell Render few licences, but i don't have the costumers for waiting a render to be clean enough.
i hope Octane will give me what i'm waiting for.

Do i Have to put of my ATI 5770? (maybe a stupid question :o )

Cheers,
Nicolas

Yes, with octane we can have the unbiased quality of M~R with the speed of an unbiased render engine ;)

Unfortunately yes, but it's a new product so it would be easy to sell it
