I was wondering if someone can help me when it comes to post-production with this plugin. I noticed that if I try and change their settings while it is rendering in the UV/Image editor view that nothing changes in the render. In the preview render viewport it does. Is there a way to have real time changes in the final rendering mode? Or do I do it after it is finished rendering? Sorry, I hardly ever have used Blender for post-production.

Please somebody correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm afraid that tweaking of Octane camera / imager settings can only be done during live viewport rendering. After you hit F12 nothing can be changed here. However, you can still use Blender's color management tools in the Scene menu. Those affect the image's look even when the rendering's finished.
EDIT: Blender's color management tools work during final rendering and after it finishes. What I find especially useful are film emulation presets and "Use curves" option, which gives great control over color balance.

I've found that if you are rendering some random view in preview window, you do not see the post (glare, etc). In order to see it in the preview window, press 0 (zero) to switch to a camera view. I've not tried with the latest version, but that is how it was the last time I tried it.

I think you're right most likely. I was wondering if the final render could have stuff changed to it during the render. Suppose I'll need to learn how to use the blender imager. I usually just use photoshop but it would be easier to keep it in one program.

I noticed this as well but it makes sense as when you're just floating around the viewport you're actually not in a camera really.

Hi. I ask for this long time ago but change anything in final render is not possible in the plugin.
Octane postpro work only in camera view, make sense more or less.
The Standalone is permanent preview, so to say.
Cheers, mib

I figured as much as I thought about it, the render is done when it finishes in the plugin, the standalone doesn't stop previewing.
Question to JimStar:
Why is it not possible? Would it not be feasible treat the F-12 render as a preview with the option to export as a jpeg/png/tiff etc? This would probably allow for a pause button and to create different exposure levels without having to re-render to change the f-stop.
Just wondering about it, completely understand that you're swamped at the moment so this is just mostly out curiosity. I'm quite happy with the plugin thus far. Don't mean to sound like I'm complaining >.<
Only thing that bothers me is because of Blender not capable of handling high-poly scenes very well

Some small switches to get better viewport performance.

Yah I know some of those tricks. They don't help me much sadly. Once the new viewport gets implemented the amount of geometry it can handle should be a lot better.

Hi JimStar,
So building texture works well with material but is a little bug with building texture for environment (won't build the environment texture). If you can look
. Workaround for the moment, that works all the time, building the hdri map using an object and a diffuse shader, after load in the environment texture
.

So got the plugin today. Pretty nice apart from crashing when trying to undo in some instances or giving several errors in interactive region.
