it just poping this "authorising" message box the first time i launch the rendering after every modo restart.. this dialog stays there for about 5-10 seconds
That is the correct behavior - the plugin authenticates when you start Modo. Standalone does the same thing (contacts the Otoy server), but doesn't pop a dialog indicated that it is happening.

ok .. then i misunderstood above comments... because Dmi3ryd was asking if he needs an internet connection all everytime he starts the plugin, and your answer sounded like a no to me.

You do not always need a connection. Only every time you run a new version of Octane. You can run it without Internet access if you had the same Octane version authenticated successfully before and didn't run any other version in between.

Closing Window or Closing Scene causes Modo to force quit.
See attachment for error screen.

Hi - is this happen if you close the Viewport then the scene?

I first make sure the render is paused, then close the Viewport Window, then close the Render setup window.
Then if I select close scene or close window the error dialog comes up, then Modo quits.
I tried repeating this several times. On one occasion, Modo did not crash.

Thank you. The Modo msg in your screenshot should only popup if the viewport is open. I will investigate the issue further.

I could not reproduce the crash here...tried it many times...no crash.

I've looked into this issue in more detail. The message "The scene being rendered in the Viewport has been closed in Modo....." is erroneously being displayed if the Viewport is closed, which I will fix. However I have been unable to replicate a crash. Some questions...
1) Are you on SR4 of Modo7?
2) Does is happen on all scenes?
3) Does it happen if you close the current scene whilst the Viewport is open?
4) What other plugins do you have installed?
5) It a long-shot, but there could be something in your Modo701.cfg file causing the issue. If you rename this file then start Modo, authenticate the plugin, the render and close the scene, does the crash happen? Rename the file back to Modo701.cfg to return to you previous settings once trying this.
6) Just to confirm - when you saying Modo is crashing, you mean it is terminating?

Hi Paul,
1. Modo SP4 Build 66614 (64bit)
2. I will try another scene. Will let you know.
3. The error message pops up both ways. If I just quit Modo then no message.
4. No other plugins installed.
5. I will give the config rename a try. Will let you know.
6. Crash was the wrong word usage. Modo quits.

Thanks. Regarding 2) also try it with a simple scene which just has a cube. 3) if will fix in the next version - the popup message would not be causing the issue though.
One other thing - a few ppl have had issue with Nvidia drivers 331. Unlikely to be causing your issue, but worth rolling back to 327, or using the latest (334?).
