Awesome! First time I see such realism in CG using SSS. I've only seen candles nearly as good, but they don't deal with this much texturing, ambient lighting and contact with refractive droplets. Well done, DIO. Also well done, Octane.

Even allegories inspired by this thread are flawless.

Ok nice reference photo, show us the render

Seriously, It's unbelievable real. Masterpiece.
OK, If I'll stare any longer I'm going to throw my mac out the window, and open a vineyard.

				Again, thanks for the comments.
I´m glad you like it.
The funny thing is, that I tested the grapes and shaders in a different scene
and it didn´t look that good. After putting them in the current scene, which I usually use
for quickrendering models for my library, and setting up the camera it suddenly looked very cool.
So I thought lets make a still life out of this and work some more on the shaders and make
some waterdrops.
Sometimes it´s also ja little bit of luck. Just the right HDRI, with the right camera
direction and DOF and it looks very realstic. And you can´t really tell why. I wish
this would work every time

Really nice render and textures !!! I think that the grape seeds must be more visible, some fruits look empty...

You´re right. Actually there are seeds inside the grapes, but I think not enough and not in all of them.
