.. holy cheezus - I didn't even realize that grime was all bump.. (or normal) mapping seems like you can get pretty far with bump then
- OK I guess I am really going to try and do something with mary this cannot be ignored anymore :) .. you are absolutely killing it there.. I was certain the dirt was very fine zbrush or similar.. glancing over the photos, I couldn't determine which ones were photos and which ones were renders - at first

- how long did it take to learn mari and this project anyway - any recommendations on beginner tutorials? I just need something that will keep me interested enough to want to learn it :)

If you know Photoshop and 3D softwares, MARI is not difficult at all. I learned it watching the official tutorials available on MARI website. This is the first project I did using it and it took 2-3 weeks of my spare time to complete it, maybe 4 days of full work to do the painting stuff. By the way I'm not a quick texture painter at all :P

About MARI tutorials, I find that those of Digital Tutors are fairly nice!
