Feels good huh? Even tho I have a 'lesser' card, I have two of them, 4GB vram each with about 2400 cuda cores. Only one scene I've come across that I ran out of texture memory for...and that was an easy fix (Thanks Paul!)

Render on brother!

just got a 780ti also, and cut my times in half from my old 580 that was wearing out after 3 years. at work we are about to do either 1 machine with 4 titans or 2 machines with 2 or 3 (for redundancy if one fails aaannndd its looking like they may be introducing network rendering via that poll they had which would be AMAZING)

Sent the GTX 780 Ti back... didn't like the limitation on scene size... swapped it for a GTX Titan SC (super clocked)... any scene is possible now... one I'm doing right now is 3952/6144MB... still got room to poke another V4 in there with textures and full armour.

nice; i was real close to getting a titan at home, but i mainly do gaming at home; 780ti will fit the bill for both... at work though we are getting setup with 3 titans in each of 2 machines for rendering so that should run rather smooth.

the titan is diffidently the best option if your scenes are getting large though.... mine are usually around 1-2 gb

I have 2x GTX780 GLH.
Is there a way I can use the RAM of both cards?
Right now it's limited to 3GB, which is just one card!

edit:
ok, found on other threads that this won't ever work....
so is my second graca completely useless for octane?

That's why the 780 went back, the Titan gives 6GB to fill a scene with.

No, not completely useless! Octane will use the CUDA cores from both cards which counts for ALOT! I'm in the same boat with 2x 670 cards, each with 4 gb VRAM...I only get 4 GB and not 8 out of this setup. But still, 4gb is not bad!

If 3GB is not big enough for a particular scene - use the Compress Texture Maps python script supplied with the plugin to reduce the size of the texturemaps.
