Now that we are down to 2, I wonder how this countdown works. Do we need to go all the way down to zero?

the way this countdown works is, that i decrease the number whenever a "milestone" was completed.

so what milestones? i must admit that i didn't have planned to do, what i'm actually now doing. the plugin code did grew and grew for well over a year now, and not every part of it did do this well and carefully cultivated. since release i was tampering with bugs and problems that were rooted in older code parts, parts of the program, that weren't wisely planned. plus the octane sdk did undergo big changes over this time, and lots of things that were still needed at the beginning of this year are now outdated or even causing problems. and instead fiddling around with them once more, i started a bigger rewrite (which i'm now counting down).

i know ho much patience it requires to stick with the plugin for now, and i'm thankful to have the chance to take such a route because nobody starts raising big pressure on it - even if i could understand that, and even if i know that quite some of you are note really happy

in return i can only assure you that i won't stop until everything is working smooth and well and reliable, and of course that, as soon this point is reached, new features and enhancements (from an already existing quite long list) will get implemented...

t_3 : sounds like a solid approach. Rewrites are almost always much better than legacy code. At least at x.1's :) And I'm pretty happy at the moment... looking forward to more/better/faster.

Thanks t_3 but I wasn't asking about the approach LOL. Let me try again :)

In some communities when you countdown, 1 is the trigger to GO!

In other cultures you have to reach 0 before the final GO!

So is it 1 or 0? :) I guess zero.

ah i see; but i wanted to post a little about the background anyway.
and yes, you are right, the launch is expected to happen with zero :)
