If you reset material editor and use Octane Render as default render engine, it is normal to populate with Octane materials, not Mental Ray materials. Don't you think ?

if you're in Max 2014 the same trick still works. Switch to Scanline and render 1 frame. Now switch back to Octane and hair and fur will render in 'geo' mode for the entire max session and respect all parameters/animation

Karba can you please fix this so we don't have to do the workaround to render fur?

first of all thank you for the new release.

I'm animating the power Texture emission, I set the keyframe, I don't see any keyframes on the timeline neither in the curve editor but scrubbing the playhead I see the changes...

Am I blind or is it an issue?
