Yes, it is possible.
Karba mentioned : "geometric clouds"
If you model some clouds & use the new 1.11, you can reproduce this.

What about Fur and Hair, are those also supported? and can they be used to make say, grass in the undergrowth of that forest? I am using Octane for 3DS Max 1.11
