Are you asking me that ? you should check in your device manager, and see if it sees 2 cards or not.
i can't see that from here ;)

instead of adding some 32 cuda cores to Octane I'd suggest to use your main card for display and your second for Octane... this way you'll have slower rendering but responding system for anything else you're doing with your mac

remember that without the plugins (which aren't with the demos yet) you will have to configure your obj export options correctly.
there's a thread named 'OBJ export options' at the top of the resources forum that contains many settings for various apps that work with octane.

if you want to see the plugins in action (they are all %100 identical in look/feel/function/workflow) check the maya to octane demo video on our videos page.

Mac Mini ?

Hi Radiance...

I noticed you mentioned in your response regarding Mac crashes that you were using a Mac Mini with the GeForce 320 graphics card.

What kind of render-speed have you experienced with that setup?
My current rig is an 8-core MacPro... but I am looking at getting Octane and a new Mac Mini with the GeForce 320 graphics card just for rendering.

Is it likely that I will see improved render times with the Mac Mini using Octane?

I'm using Blender as my 3D app and have tried both the Blender internal and Yafray renderer with great looking results, but somewhat slow render times.

Thanks!

Valentin

The mac mini is my home HTPC ;)
It's not very fast. if i were you, i'd get a PC for the same money instead, and a GTX460 card.

it's hardly possible to navigate a scene smoothly on a mac mini.
