I suppose to release a betaversion in a few weeks, may be more close.
At this time, we need to complete shader system. OSX will come, certainly. i don't see any problem with expresso.
Actually works with all c4d objects, instancing is experimental this time. But works ;)
My point of view is user friendly design, to make i'm using my personal 3d experiments

Tnx

How to load a texture in channel Blurness (roughness in Octane) if standard materials Cinema4D not yet have this capability?
Standard materials are not suitable for professional work so you have to use Vray.
I would like to see the integration of materials Octane Render, not old materials C4D. How soon it can be done and whether you plan to?

Thank you for your work, you are doing a great job!

Don't worry for that. I said you can use all octane properties as original ;)
All OCTANE MATERIALS, TEXTURES, also options and c4d to octane emulation is a option
for simplicify usage. There are two options for material usage.
Also i wish to you know, the plugin is in last period of a alpha stage. It's a baby which borned recently.
We spend lot of effort to bring as a perfect tool.

Best regards

Really exciting to finally see this in action. I was amazed to see how well it plays the animation in near realtime in the first video...very cool! The fact that it can use standard C4D mats as well as Octane native mats will be a great option when importing existing scenes.

What hardware/GPU are you running these demos on? And why on earth is there that annoying watermark in the render video....I would imagine that you have a licensed copy :)

Will this plugin support C4D's tags for example the visibility tag and the composting tag?

thnx for comments, nice to hear this compliments.
watermark seems because that use a demo sdk ;)
visibility tags has not direct support in octane side. But may be we can find a way to implement, it's very important for a professional.
if octane give me a option to supply compositing tags, i'll do. For ex. visible to camera is a basic but seriously important.
i wish to supply a workable demo and also beta version in a few week,

best regards

hi aoktar,
i start to like your approach :D
for example the c4d "hide to camera" function could be connected to an inactive portal node material in octane

Hi bepeg4d, could you describe your solution more clear?
Also i miss to write which GPU used in demos, a gtx 470 burnout
a better card lets you fly ;)
