I'm an architect too and use Sketchup with Octane very often. Integrating both would significantly speed up my workflow in simple renders.
However I combine shapes from several .obj’s in Octane to cope with very detailed geometry (thanks to “Octane scatter data from components”), this I fear may not be possible with full integration.
I might be wrong.

This plugin would truely be amazing. It'd save so much time!

Maybe even with built-in support for instancing? (Every SketchUp Component would be seperate geometry, connected to a scatter node, ultimately connected to the final geometry batch node)

For information: VRay RT for Sketchup is made.
I test it has nothing to envy octane. it is much slower.
the octane plugin is for when?????????
