@peppe: it was rendered with DL Diffuse

@merdi888: maybe we should try your settings then and give it a try again :)

I still don´t get why this takes 24 hours...!
Especially with Direct Light. And 4 x GTX580....

Check out http://render.otoy.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=22466

gabrielefx rendered with 4 x GTX580, PMC, 4000 x 3000 px in 12 hours.

There must be something wrong in your setup...

I really have the imrepssion i shocked u guys cauz of the long rendertime ;) . Sorry for that  !

I don't know, if u can compare the scene Gabrielefx made with this one. If i got him right, he used an emitting panel inside the room for example. And i don't know which settings his cards are running with. We slowed ours a bit down, cauz of the heat (core and memory clock).

But i am sure, there is a lot of space to optimize the scene, cauz we didn't do anything in that direction :? . Was the first interior we did with octane and didn't focus reducing rendertime, just wanted a nice result.

And to be honest i am not sure now, if we used 3 or 4 cards. Normaly the card the screens are connected with isn't activated in Octane. So maybe we have forgotten to switch it on again and it could have been a little faster. But i am too lazy to render it again to figure that out  .

Huge rendering times for that resolution!!!!
There is a problem somewhere IMO. I often (not saying always...) use DL for my renderings and with reasonnable Computer Spec I get much much less time to render even at 4000x2000
IMO you get problems with your Window glass!
Interest in OCTANE is of course speed! When rendering with maxwell my time unit is hour... with Octane it is minutes. If not I feel I am missing something about the tool.
