thank you Karba
the good news:
New frenel model for Glossy Material: I will check it.
Possibility to switch off proxy properties for Octane Lights: many thanks!
Statistic for triangles/objects count: very useful.
Wrong refractions.: checked, now is ok.
the bad news:
Improved color model: please leave available the previous legacy color lut because all my scenes now are useless.
smoothing issues now are amplified.
the new 3.01 is slower than the 3.00c.
If you want I can send my scene.
Regards

I would like to stress, that this is a test. It's quite likely that this will not be the final behaviour. The "smoothing issue" and the "high contrast" reflection are probably caused by the changes in the glossy code and not by the color changes, because specular reflections with high roughness are now stronger.

Could you try reducing the saturation using the saturation in the imager settings? The old color code was incorrect and we would like to avoid having to put the wrong code back in.
smoothing issues now are amplified.
See above
the new 3.01 is slower than the 3.00c.
I'm not 100% sure here, but I think that's because it's a build with Kepler support, built with the CUDA 4.2 toolkit. We are still working on a solution for this issue.
If you want I can send my scene.
Regards
Yes, that would be great. If you could send the scene to Andrey (Karba), we could investigate your issues further.
Cheers,
Marcus

Color and material improvements are great. I get much better results compared to previous version.
Great work!
Any plugin updates?
Cause these issues still remain:
* No Unicode support (if image path has non-ascii characters, then texture doesn't get rendered)
* Shaky camera (impossible to animate/move Octane camera target) <- this is actually a show stopper for me cause i bought the plugin for animations.
If it's tricky to fix that camera target, then Free Octane camera type (without a target) would also kind of solve my issue.
Thanks
Suv

Karba,
i'm really need sequences (*.ifl) support!
i have to render about 2000 frames with animated textures
