Are you meaning that 3Dmax instances or proxies are interpreted automaticly as Octane instances??? As a Sketchup user I would so much need that sort of tool...

Can you expand on this. I am trying to figure this out too.
I assume your using the 3dsmax plugin v.300?
Can you write up a very simple workflow so we can learn how to use forest pack with Octane?

At this time we have support for multiscatter, i have tested it, work very well.
You can find tutorials on itoosoftware´s website for forest pack and R&D group for multiscatter.
For good 3d vegetation you have to study real nature, how it works. My advice for you
